Joanne Yoo is a Managing Director at Development Partners International (DPI), a leading Pan African private equity firm with $2 billion under management. Ms. Yoo also serves on the Investment Advisory Board of Acuity Venture Partners, a venture capital firm investing in African tech startups.
In 2020, Ms. Yoo was appointed by the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to the Investor Advisory Committee. Ms. Yoo is a founding Steering Committee member of PEWIN (Private Equity Women Investor Network), representing over $3 trillion in assets under management. She is an advisor to the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Alternative Investment Program, and a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).
Ms. Yoo received a B.S. in Finance and International Business from the University of Virginia; an MPA from Harvard University; and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where she was awarded a Morgan Stanley Fellowship.
